Introduction
Just in case
you’re new to the affiliate arena,
I am going to start you off with a short
and simple definition. And, throughout this
Report, I will provide you with the information
you need to become successful in this exciting
career.
What’s
more, you will be able to use this information
to start your own business. You will be
able to work from home, set your own hours,
avoid frustrating commutes to the office,
unpleasant bosses and co-workers, and so
much more.
Yes, you are
about to take control of your own destiny.
Admittedly, it will take some time and persistence,
but you can count on the information I provide
throughout this Report to enable you to
become a super-star affiliate.
And, it is
all provided in an easy-to-understand way
that truly de-myths affiliate programs.
Written in an elementary language, and leaving
no stone unturned, this Report is all you
need to create your own Internet success.
So
let’s get started with a simple definition:
Affiliate
Program –
A web-based pay-for-performance program
designed to compensate “affiliate”
partner web sites for driving qualified
leads or sales to a “merchant”
web site.
Typically,
the merchant pays a percentage of any sale
resulting from a click-through (via banner
or text link) to their web site from an
affiliate partner’s web site. Payment
Service providers like
http://www.ClickBank.com help track
and manage these payments. (Note: ClickBank
is explained in detail in Chapter
1)
Example:
One of the first and most successful affiliate
programs was that of http://www.Amazon.com.
When Amazon.com started its affiliate program
several years back, it was revolutionary.
Amazon.com (the merchant) simply allowed
webmasters (affiliates) to place text links
or banners on their site that could be clicked
on by visitors/viewers. By clicking on these,
the visitors were taken to the Amazon.com
site where they made purchases. And, for
every sale completed by one of these visitors,
the affiliate was paid.
Because affiliates
who participate in these programs have a
stake in the response rate (they get paid
for responses, known as click-throughs,
and purchases made by the viewer), they
do everything possible to drive traffic
from their site onto the Amazon.com site,
and everything they can to prompt a sale
once the visitor is taken there.
The traffic
sent from an affiliate’s web site
is tracked through software and every time
a visitor clicks-through and makes a purchase,
Amazon.com pays the affiliate (usually with
a monthly or bi-weekly check).
In essence,
as an affiliate, you are a sales person
for the site you are directing traffic to.
In doing this, your job is to:
- Get Traffic
(Viewers) to Your Site
- Engage
the Viewer and Pique Their Interest
- Prompt
Sales for Your Advertiser
- Ensure
the Viewer Returns to Your Site for Future
Purchases
Now, do not
get discouraged if this seems like a lot.
Sure, there is a significant amount of work
to do if you want to become a super-star
affiliate, but I am going to show you exactly
how to achieve each of the above steps in
no time at all.

Chapter
1: Introduction to ClickBank

Perhaps the
strongest tool you have as you develop your
affiliate programs is http://www.ClickBank.com.
This online billing and marketing service
is a one-stop-shop for affiliates –
one you truly cannot afford to be without!
Let’s
look at all ClickBank can do for you:
- ClickBank
provides e-Commerce electronic payment
solutions for webmasters and affiliates
- Click-Bank
processes payments for web sites that
sell software and information products
over the internet
- Click Bank
let's you sell their online digital products
for a commission.
- ClickBank
pays you by check on the 1st and 15th
of each month.
In a nutshell,
ClickBank is a very simple and straightforward
affiliate network that can be quite profitable
if used effectively. It is an online distribution
center of over 10,000 digital products;
all of which are offered in an easy-to-use
directory of programs (known as the Market
Place).
The majority
of Click-Banks programs are Internet-based
companies that sell or give away Internet-based
products and services. And, its systematic
approach to all of this, paired with ClickBank’s
proven results, has enabled Click-Bank to
emerge on the Web as a leader in this field.
And because
of the site’s strong reputation and
ease-of-use, you simply must give it a try
and see for yourself why ClickBank now boasts
more than 100,000 affiliates - and is growing
as you read this!

recommend you do this before moving forward
through this Report.)
The ClickBank Marketplace
The ClickBank marketplace is a directory
of over 10,000 digital products you can
sell for a commission. The Market Place
is organized into nine main categories and
these include:
Each of the
nine main categories has sub-categories,
which allows you to narrow down the products
even further.
Before we go
any further, you should visit the
ClickBank
Marketplace (opens in new window)
and familiarize yourself with this system.
Suffice it to say, using ClickBank allows
EVERY link on your site to make money. So
take a minute and check it out now!
Marketplace
Ranking Explained
As you will see, Marketplace products are
ranked by a "productivity score".
To preserve the integrity of the system,
ClickBank does not publish the formula for
the score, or the score itself, but we can
safely assume that it is a function of these
four factors: (Below is an example of a
Marketplace listing)
- $
Earned/Sale: Average
net amount earned per affiliate per referred
sale. Note that this is the net earned
per actual sale, and so it is impacted
by refunds, charge backs, and sales taxes.
(Effective 28 July 2005, un-funded sales,
such as returned checks, do not impact
this number.)
- %
Earned/Sale: Average percentage
commission earned per affiliate per referred
sale. This number should only vary if
the publisher has changed their payout
percentage over time.
- %
Referred: Fraction of publisher's
total sales that are referred by affiliates.
- Gravity:
Number of distinct affiliates
who earned a commission by referring a
paying customer to the publisher's products.
This is a weighted sum and not an actual
total. For each affiliate paid in the
last 8 weeks we add an amount between
0.1 and 1.0 to the total. The more recent
the last referral, the higher the value
added. All factors are combined, and adjusted
such that more recent sales activity is
given greater weight. Products are not
listed until at least one has been sold.
To improve
their Marketplace ranking products must
show a history of reliably converting referred
traffic to paying customers over the past
8 weeks. Products that maintain a higher
ranking naturally attract more affiliates,
and make more sales overall.
Now, before
you move on to Chapter 2, I just want to
take a quick minute and explain to you what
“conversion” means and how important
it is to you as an affiliate. Yes, get ready
for one more definition.
Conversion:
An equation that determines the number of
visitors that become something else like
subscribers, buyers or members. For example,
the conversion rate formula of visitors
that subscribe or buy a product would be:
number
of visitors ÷ by number of buyers.
If a website
has 10,000 visitors and 500 subscribe, the
conversion rate equals 1 in 20.

Chapter
2: Choosing the Best Affiliate Programs
to Promote
This can be a confusing area when first
navigating through the maze of affiliate
programs and it need not be!
In fact, I am going to show you exactly
how to do it right now.
It all boils down to this: When
selecting an affiliate program to promote
there are seven factors that you MUST consider.
These include:
- There must
be a demand for the product the merchant
is offering. You can check this by visiting
http://www.Overture.com
where you can see if any sellers are bidding
on keywords related to the product you
want to offer.
- The commission
must be substantial in itself. If you're
promoting a $5 item then you need to make
a lot of sales and it can be as difficult
as selling a high ticket item. Make sure
it's worth it. Commissions of 50% - 60%
would be desirable (mainly digital goods)
but for high-ticket items even just 20-45%
will do it.
Note: Personally, I would
not promote anything that offers me a
commission lower than $10 per sale.
- You should
be able to reach someone at the company
if you have any questions related to the
product. After all, if you don't know
enough details, how are you going to sell
these items to your customers?
- The sales
letter must be convincing enough to get
people to buy the product. Put yourself
in your customers' shoes and ask yourself:
Would I buy the product myself when I
was visiting this page? Moreover, the
sales letter has got to have enough testimonials
included. This will boost your conversion
ratio.
- There should
be a money-back guarantee for the product
being sold. If the affiliate program owner
doesn't offer this, then you better search
for something different to promote!
- Physical
address and contact info should be visible
on the site.
- The affiliate
program must offer real-time statistics
so you can see how many visits you are
converting into sales.

Chapter
3: The Quick-Plan For Making Money With
Affiliate Programs
I'm going to
show you exactly how to make more money
using Affiliate Programs -- and leave nothing
to guess. So roll up your sleeves and get
ready to learn a sure-fire method for getting
immediate traffic for your affiliate links.
And by “immediate,” I do mean
right now!
The
Amazing Power of Pay Per Click -- And How
It Can Make You Truckloads of Money!
This method
guarantees you'll get some serious traffic
immediately for your affiliate links. Here's
how it works...
Check out Google
AdWords and
Overture. These are two of the best
"Pay-Per-Click" search engines,
which means that each time someone clicks
on your link, you're getting charged a predetermined
amount.
You decide
how much you want to pay for per click,
and it will show up in the search engines,
giving you loads of exposure.
For example,
if you decide to advertise with a PPC-based
search engine or a featured listing with
a search engine, your ad will display each
time a user enters in a keyword that matches
your predetermined keyword list. You don't
pay each time the ad displays; only when
it's actually clicked.
And this principle
holds true for PPC-based banner advertising,
as well.
Google AdWords
is one of the most well known CPC-based
advertising venues. With AdWords, you pick
the keywords you want to use and only pay
for as many clicks as you can afford (explained
below).
Instead of
having to pay for a campaign that may be
more costly than you had planned, you can
set a limit on the amount of times your
ad can be clicked and cap the total amount
you'll spend on the campaign.
Now
to show you how this works, let's take a
look at one affiliate program you can start
promoting right now!
Shop
Until You Drop
converts at an average of 1:28 and pays
you up to $25.58 for each sale you make.
So let's say, for example, you're using
Google AdWords and paying 20 cents for each
click. To get 28 visitors (and an average
sale), you would pay about $5.60. But that
sale would make you $25.58, meaning you're
about $19.98 richer.
Small potatoes,
I know. But consider what happens when you
start using Google and sending hundreds
of visitors through your link each and every
day! Just sending 400 people through a day
would put about $285 in your pocket AFTER
expenses!
And if you
did that 7 days a week, you'd be making
about $7,992 each month. Not bad. And that's
with just one of the affiliate programs.
Do the same with another, and you could
easily start making $10,000 each and every
month.

Chapter 4: Using PPC Search Engines
I've been
a suporter of PPC search engines for years.
They remain one of the most effective tools
you can use to bring quick, cheap, targeted
traffic to your site.
True to their
name, with pay-per-click search engines,
you pay a premium every time a visitor clicks
on your link—anything from a few cents
to a few dollars.
For example,
let's say you want to promote a site that
sells Information on how to become a mystery
shopper. And you want to rank No. 1 in the
search engines for the term "Mystery
Shopping Jobs." To get a top-ten position
in the free search engines, you'd probably
be looking at a few months (at least) of
arduous effort.
But in the
pay-per-clicks, you can grab the No. 1 spot
in just minutes! That's because all you
have to do is see how much the person who
has the No. 1 position is paying per click,
and simply outbid them by paying one penny
more.
Then when
your potential customer searches for the
term "Mystery Shopping Jobs,"
your link will show up as the first listing
on the search results page. And each time
searchers click on your link, you'll pay
however much you have bid for that No. 1
position.
There are three advantages to bidding on
keywords in the pay-per-clicks:
- You get
effective advertising, because you only
pay when someone actually clicks through
to your site.
- Your listing
will get posted quickly—anywhere
from a few hours to a couple of days at
the most—meaning you can start profiting
from increased traffic and sales almost
immediately.
- In order
to rank in the No. 1 position, all you
have to do is outbid your competitors,
which is usually only a matter of a few
pennies per click.
Done right, pay-per-click advertising can
be very profitable. However, if you're not
careful, you can lose a lot of money with
your PPC advertising. Here are some tips
to help you ensure your campaigns are profitable:
- Avoid keywords
that are too general. More general keywords
will attract a lot of traffic, driving
up the cost of your PPC campaign and converting
few visitors to sales because general
search terms aren't specific enough to
attract the right audience.
- Ensure that
the sales process on your site is converting
visitors to buyers before you launch a
full-scale PPC campaign. You don't want
to be spending money on getting the traffic
if your site can't produce sales.
- Make sure
you calculate how much you can afford
to bid on keywords to guarantee you still
turn a profit. To determine how much you
can afford to bid, you'll need to understand
the value of each visitor to your site.
You can do this by determining the number
of sales you'll get, the profit you'll
earn per sale, and the number of unique
visitors your site will receive during
a set period of time. It's generally easiest
to calculate these numbers on a monthly
basis.
Here are three easy steps that will help
you determine the value of each individual
visitor to your site:
1. To determine your visitor conversion
rate (that is, the percentage of visitors
who buy from you), calculate:
Number
of unique visitors ÷ number of
sales = conversions per sale visitor
(known as your conversion rate)
Example: 113 unique
visitors ÷ 4 sales = 28.25 conversion
rate
2. To calculate your net profit per sale,
calculate:
(Gross
revenue - total expenses) ÷ number
of sales = net profit per sale
Example:
$98.00 Gross revenue - $43
total expenses = $55 profit ÷
4 number of sales = $13.75 net profit
per sale
3. To determine the value of each of visitor
to your site, calculate:
Net profit
per sale ÷ visitor conversion
rate = individual visitor value
Example: $12.50
net profit per sale ÷ 28.25 visitor
conversion rate= .48 cents is the individual
visitor value
Once you understand
the value of your visitors, you'll be able
to set your maximum bid for keywords. For
example, you may determine that each individual
visitor to your site is worth 48 cents in
pure profit. This means you can afford to
bid a maximum of 38 cents per click to guarantee
that you'll generate a good profit margin.
The value
of your visitors may also help you determine
which PPC search engines you'll use, as
the minimum bid on keywords in some search
engines may be higher than in others.
Choosing
the Right PPC Search Engine to Use

If you don't
have a web site and are ready to earn tons
of cash promoting any affiliate program,
the best place to start your advertising
campaign is using Google
AdWords and other pay-per-click search
engines such as:
- Google
Adwords (Our top Pick!)
- Overture/Yahoo
(Top
money-maker for affiliates, aside from
Google, that is. Requires you to have
a website)
- Findwhat
- Looksmart
- Lycos
- Enhance
- Search
123
- Kanoodle

Google
Adwords’ listings show up in colored
boxes on the right-hand side of Google's
free search results, giving you tons of
great exposure.
With Google
Adwords, you bid on keywords for placement;
however, Google Adwords also lists ads by
popularity (how many clicks they get). So
you may be paying for placement, but unless
your link receives more click-throughs than
your competition's links, your listing may
not appear in the top spots of the search
results.

Tip:
One thing to keep in mind is that Google
determines their ad position by maximum
cost-per-click, your ad’s actual clickthrough
rate, and the ad text. If you increase your
maximum cost-per-click (CPC) or your ad’s
clickthrough rate (CTR) your ad’s
position will improve. Also, ads with higher
CTRs are more likely to draw relevant clicks
and qualified leads.
Google’s system favors ads with higher
clickthrough rates (CTRs), and shows them
more often than ads with lower
CTRs in the same Ad Group.
Yahoo! Sponsored Search lists your

Sponsored Search Works.
Overture.com
which is owned by yahoo.com is the biggest
and largest-reaching PPC search engine,
but its popularity has driven up the cost
of advertising with the company. The beauty
of bidding on keywords in Overture is that
your site will be listed not only on Overture,
but also at Yahoo!, AltaVista, CNN.com and
InfoSpace, - provided your bid is in the
top three for a particular keyword.
With Overture
you just pay to be listed when the search
results come up. In other words, you pay
for "placement".
It's relatively
easy to get started. All you do is come
up with a list of keywords that you want
to check out, go to overture.com
and in the search box on their main page
just type in your first keyword.
When the results
come up you'll want to look at the top right
and click on "View Advertisers' Max
Bids" so you can get a peek at how
much everyone is paying for the keyword
you're thinking about buying.
As an example
you can use the keyword: Mystery
Shopping Jobs (opens in new window)
Type that
into the search box and you'll see the first
nine results are from paid advertisers.
Please don't
click the links in the search results. Copy
the URL from the results and paste that
into a new browser if you want to see the
site.
When we click
the link to see the max bids Overture shows
us the top 3 people are paying anywhere
from $.46 per click to $0.40. Of course
these bids change all the time. That's just
what I am seeing today as I write this.
With some
other keywords like "hosting",
the cost can be around $7.00 a click! It
all depends on how much the advertisers
are willing to pay. I'm sure they're watching
their conversions closely and probably wouldn't
continue to pay that unless they were profitable
though.

How do you find the keywords your market
is searching for?
There are several
keyword software's out there that will help
you compile keywords so you can start a
good PPC campaign.
Click
Ad EQUALIZER software:
Is perfect to find Keywords for Pay Per
Click search engines. Refine your keywords;
find keywords that no one else thinks of,
no matter what you are promoting. And, for
goodness sakes, keep a watchful eye on your
competition!
download "Click
here to visit Click Ad Equalizer"
All you have
to do is enter your keyword, and Click Equalizer
will check its database to see how often
people are looking for that term, how many
competing sites are using that particular
keyword, and how much they are bidding in
the PPC search engines.
A tool like
this will help you choose excellent keywords
to bid on. It will also allow you to view
the bid price of each keyword in separate
PPC search engines, which will help you
decide whether the cost of bidding on the
keyword is in your ballpark or not.
Finding
out which words are profitable.
You can bid
on thousands of words and get tons of traffic
but which ones but which words can you actually
take to the bank?
What I have
learned is that the words you bid on have
vastly different conversion ratios. What
often happens is that you bid on a word
that gives you high clicks and almost no
sales which are usually general words.
Lets
give you an example:
If you were
looking for a 2005 Corvette Z06 for sale
and you went to google and typed in the
word "car". If you did this, you
probably would not find that 2005 Corvette
Z06 you are looking for so you would click
on a few sites and be disapointed with your
results and then go back and refine your
search.
If you advertised
AffordableAutomobile.com
on the word "car" you probably
would get a lot of clicks but very few sales.
Why?
The word "car"
is too general. People looking for car parts
to car shows will be typing in the word
"car" in the search. A much better
word to advertise AffordableAutomobile.com
would be "Car Auction".
My point is
You want targeted traffic not general traffic.
What you do
is bid on all the logical words. Then, you
watch your clicks like a hawk and see what
converts and what doesn't.
Next you cut
out the bad words. You probably won't be
profitable until you cut out the words that
generate a lot of clicks but no sales. Those
are the dead wood that cost you money but
don't make you money.
To make sure
you know which keywords are converting you'll
want to use Conversion Tracking.
If you don't you'll never know which keywords
are making you money and which are draining
your balance.
Conversion
Tracking
The Great Thing
about Googe Adwords and Overture is that
they offer their advertisers the ability
to track their conversions which allows
advertisers to find the words that are profitible
and eliminate the ones that are not. In
order to use Conversion Tracking the affiliate
program you promote must put a special code
on their thank you page (the page the customer
comes to after purchace). Most affiliate
programs in theClickBank market place do
not offer conversion tracking to their affiliates
so it is important that you pick only affiliate
programs that offer the conversion tracking
feature to their affiliates. All of the
websites that are in the Cash
Flow Joe Portfolio allow you to track
Google Adwords and Overturte traffic.
What I learned
firsthand is that it takes patience and
experimentation to get profitable
The price of
profit is study and experimentation. Everybody
I know who makes money in this business
makes it by working at it.
Is
the #1 spot the best place to advertise?
There are actually
two answers to this question: Yes and No.
Let
me explain:
If you are
testing new keywords and do not know if
that word is profitable then the answer
is No.
Why?
- 43% of
all clicks go to the number 1spot.
- 16% to the
number 2 spot.
- 9% to number
3 spot.
If you bid
on a new keyword and you do not know whether
or not the keyword is profitable, do you
really want 43% of the traffic? Probably
not because you can waste a lot of money
on a word that does not convert.
Now, that
will screw up your numbers really fast.
Don't buy a
large amount of advertising from any word
until you test a small quantity and make
sure the word converts.
So you track
everything and kick out the words that don't
convert. You have to tweak and prune. You
do that and you'll soon be profitable!
FYI:
Conversions will fluctuate within a range
due to random variation. Some days and weeks
you will convert more due to pure random
chance and influences.
For example
job websites such as shopuntilyoudrop.net
convert better Monday - Thursday because
people are looking for money making opertunities
early in the week and less on the weekends.
Music, Movie or Leisure websites convert
better on the weekends.
If you are
testing and you determine that a particular
keyword has a high conversion rate then
you will need to determine how much per
click you can afford to pay and still profit.
If you can afford the #1 spot and be profitable
then you should go for the #1 spot.
How
to dertermine how much to bid per Click.
Let's say you
send 1,000 visitors to through your affiliate
link. You buy those visitors from a pay-per-click
search engine for a .10 each. In U.S. money,
that is $100. Now, let's say you made two
sales.
What you really
paid is $50 per sale. You spent $100 to
make 2 sales. So those two sales cost you
$50 each. If you made 10 sales from the
same traffic, your sales would have cost
you $10 each.
What I'm saying
is, ultimately there is no such thing as
pay-per-click. All you really have is pay-per-sale.
You bought $100 dollars worth of traffic
traffic. You made 10 sales.
The 10 sales
cost you $10 each. As long as your affiliate
program pays you more than $10 per sale,
then you made money.
Your
goal is to double your money at bare minimum.
Triple is better. So here are a few bottom
line figures for you:
Assume
a conversion ratio of 1/2 of 1%. That is
low for some sites. High for others. But
it's a good figure to use as an example.
That means
you make 5 sales for every 1,000 visitors
you send your affiliate program or sponsor.
If you pay
.10 each for those visitors or $100, and
you make 5 sales, each sale costs you $20.
So your affiliate program needs to be paying
you a $40 to $60 commission for those numbers
to work for you.
If they're
only paying you $20 a pop, then you need
double the conversion. You better be converting
1% of your visitors to sales.
Let's
say you're on a pay-per-click search engine
and that primo top spot costs you .50 per
click. What are the numbers?
For every 1000
clicks, you're going to pay U.S. $500. Let's
say your program turns 10 of those clicks
into buyers. You have $50 a pop invested
in each sale.
If you want
to double your money, you better be getting
$100 per sale. To triple your money, you
need $150 per sale. Either that, or you
need a higher conversion percentage than
1%.
Let's
say your program converts 2%.
Now what are
the numbers?
You have 20
sales. 500 divided by 20 equals 25. Each
sale costs you 25 smackers.
To double your
money, you need a commission of 50 bucks
a pop from your affiliate program sponsor.
Cost-per-click
means nothing. You can't bank that. You
can't buy food with it. You must have sales.
The point is,
in actuality, you aren't buying clicks.
The only thing that matters to you as an
affiliate is cost-per-sale.
Immediate Success Tips for Beginners to
Make Cash on the Fast-Track Using PPC!
-
Target The Right Audience
Target
the right audience by selecting the language
and the countries that you want to target.
For example, exclude all countries where
English is not understood by a large percentage
of the population.
- Refine
Your Keywords . Use square brackets "[...]"
around your keyword/s. (ONLY IN GOOGLE
ADWORDS)
For example:
[google]
[google adwords]
Your
ad will only show when people search using
the exact words that you have selected
between the brackets.
- Include
Only Targeted Keywords In Your Ad.
Use keyword phases to target your visitors
Include the
targeted keywords in the headline and
the description of the ad. When you do
this, your ad will show these keywords
in bold, capturing more attention, resulting
in an eye-catching (and more effective)
ad.
You
should select targeted phrases like “mystery
shopping jobs” so your ads will
be displayed to people
looking for the content that is on your
site
- Sell
The Benefits
Spell
out one or more major benefit in your
ad. For example, make more money, stay
younger looking, lose weight, get healthier,
live happier, etc.
- Include
Attention, Grabbing Words In Your Ad
Start your
headline with an attention grabbing word.
For example, "Free,” “New,”
“Sale,” etc."
And always
make sure that you stay within Google's
or Overture's editorial guidelines.
- Use
Words That Provoke Emotion & Enthusiasm
Use
power words or call-to-action phrases
that provoke emotion, enthusiasm and a
response.
Here are some examples of some
great power words:
Free, Cheap,
Sale, Special Offer, Time-Limited Offer,
Tricks, You, Tips, Enhance, Discover,
Fact, Learn, At Last, Free Shipping, etc.
Here
are some examples of call-to-action phrases:
· Buy
Today - Save 50%
·
Download Free Trial Now
· Sale Ends Tomorrow
- Sell
Your USP (Unique Selling Proposition)
What makes
your product or service better, or different,
from the competition? Spell this out in
your ad.
- Link
To Relevant Landing Pages
If
an ad is for a specific product or service,
create a landing page for the ad. Include
relevant and useful information to convert
the customer. Generally, a well-designed
landing page will almost always convert
more visitors than if you simply sent
the visitor to the home page.
- Remove
Common Words
Remove
common words, such as "a, an, in,
on, it, of, etc." Remove every word
that does not absolutely need to be in
the ad. Make every word count.
- Deter
Freebie Hunters
Deter
freebie hunters by including the price
of the product or service at the end of
the ad. This will improve your overall
conversion ratio and lower your average
customer acquisition cost.
This may reduce
your click through ratio, but that's OK.
After all, you're not trying to target
every body, only potential customers.
In most cases, freebie hunters will never
become paying customers.
Now,
I have another insider’s secret to
share with you:
Advertise on misspellings (typos) and you
will make money!
Example:
mystery shop= mistery shop = myster
shop= mysteri shop
Example:
paid surveys = paid survays = paidsurveys
Example:
download
movie = downlod movie = downloads movie
= sownload movie

Chapter
5: Jump Start the Sale with Pre-Sell
The best way
you can increase your conversion ratio is
by writing an endorsement for the product
and placing it on your web site. By
adding a review of all the related products,
testimonials or other proof the product
works. By displaying photos of the product.
This is also called pre selling which will
drasticy improve your conversion rate.
In
order to pre sale you will need to have
a landing page which you will send traffic
to. A landing page is simply a web page
that you will send vsitors to. Building
a landing page or mini website is simple
to do as I will explain later in this report.
Even before
you send clients on to make a purchase,
you can help the process along by pre-selling.
After all, you don’t get paid if they
don’t buy, so why not put forth your
strongest effort here?
All you have
to do is provide your site visitors with
valuable copy that both informs and sales.
I like to call this the sizzle and sale.
You see, you
get the traffic, you provide them with some
sizzling words and you prompt a sale.
But how, you
ask? It’s all in the pre sales copy
– something you just have to have
on your landing page!
Here
are some great pointers I can share with
you on how to craft your own sizzling pre
sales copy – the kind that will prompt
sales (and put money in YOUR pocket)!
Let’s
back up for just a minute here and make
sure you first understand WHY you need pre
sales copy on your landing page. It all
boils down to this:
- Pre Sales
copy can be used to entice the reader
by explaining all the exciting benefits
they receive for buying the service or
product you are promoting.
- Pre Sales
copy provides you with the perfect opportunity
to prove you are credible. You MUST have
your visitor’s trust and you can
start earning it right here, within your
pre sales copy. Build
trust and establish
your credibility by
explaining how you are an expert on the
products you are promoting.
- Use your
pre sales copy to explain to your visitors
the many reasons WHY they cannot live
without what you are selling through your
landing page
- And maximize
your sales by giving them exact directions
on how to proceed
Now
let’s get busy with YOUR pre sales
copy.
In
order to create great pre sell copy that
will intice the reader to buy from your
affiliate links you must first make friends
with your visitors.
Contrary
to what most people think, most people do
not look for products or services on the
Internet. They look for information. Instead
of selling or recommending any product,
write a review for each product, both good
and bad. So, visitors can find enough information
on which service that is the best for them.
Concentrate on helping your visitors to
make good decisions, rather than selling
them a product. Once people find the service
they like, there is nothing to stop them
from buying. This is how Super affiliates
get such high conversion rates. Also, because
you are an affiliate of all reviewed sites,
no matter which site visitors pick, you
will get commissions.
Give your visitors the information they
need. Put an appearance that is in tune
with the subject you are discussing. Make
your visitors comfortable. Write in a tone
that appears friendly and reassuring. Be
honest with them; it shows. And last but
not the least, recommend only the best products
or services.
Start
by creating an eye-catching, traffic-stopping
headline and sub-headline.
Pack both of these with words so
hot they will start a fire! And, of course,
make sure you use your headline and sub-headline
to explain the benefits of your service
or product. You can use your sub-headline
to really drive home what you are saying
in your headline.
Think of using
words like: “ FREE,”
“Easy,” “Quick,”
“Results,” “Save,”
etc.
And don’t
forget to promise a result. People really
like “How to” headlines",
which is why they work so well.
Think of using
phrases like: “How to…,”
"Beware of...."....Revealed",
", “Why you need,” “Learn
how…,” “Uncover,”
“Discover,” “Stop,”
“Decrease your problem…,”
“increase Your…”.
The
fun starts here as you tell a story.
Now, just under your headline and sub-headline,
you will start what is refered to as the
“body” of your pre sales copy.
Right away, create a problem and then right
after this, solve it! Of course, the solution
MUST be whatever it is you are selling.
After this,
and in the next few paragraphs, take time
again to establish your credibility. Tell
who you are and why you are qualified to
help and to provide this solution. You can
use testimonials to do this for you. (You
may find testimonials on the sites you are
linking to, so make sure you check there.
And, while looking around the site, check
out their sales copy.)
Use these
few paragraphs to hook your readers, get
them REALLY interested and get them to relate
to you, all the while delivering your
message. Of course, to do this, you must
work to identify with the visitor. This
requires you to understand their problem.
Now convince them of this.
I’ll
tell you a little secret here, look at the
keywords used to find your site. Aren’t
these really the questions you are answering
with your sales copy? If not, they should
be!
Once the visitor
relates to you and you show you relate to
them, summarize the solution (the product
or service you are promoting).
Follow
this with benefits and more benefits and
more benefits!
It’s
true: Benefits are going to close the deal
for you. Tell the visitor in clear terms
how the product or service you are selling
will benefit them – how it will help,
how it will make their life easier, how
they just cannot live without it! Give specifics.
Once you are
confident that you have conveyed every possible
benefit to your visitor, you can start wrapping
up your sales copy.
See, it’s
not hard at all. If you can write and email,
you really can craft sizzling pre sales
copy.
For you closing,
give them a real clincher.
It’s the climax you have been building
up to so just quickly remind the visitor
of the problem you’re addressing.
Remind the visitor how this problem affects
them and what your solution can do to take
care of this once and for all!
You are building
up your visitor’s desire to purchase
the products or services you are marketing.
In fact, that’s what all good pre
sales copy does. And, you are asking them
to spend their hard-earned money Think:
What would it take to convince you to do
purchase the program you are promoting and
go from there!
Did
you know there is an exact science to writing
sales copy?
